Start with one QR code at the counter
A customer often arrives with a file on their phone. Passing the phone across the counter or searching through chat messages slows both of you down. A shop QR code gives them a direct route to your upload page.
Print the code on a poster where customers can scan it while they wait. Test it with more than one phone before putting it on display. The page should identify your shop clearly so people know where their files are going.
- Place the poster near the service counter and keep the code large enough to scan.
- Include a short instruction such as ‘Scan to send your file’.
- Keep a normal shop link available if a camera cannot scan the code.
Ask for print instructions with the file
Receiving a PDF is only half an order. Before printing, a shop usually needs paper size, colour or black and white, copy count and whether the document should be printed on one or both sides. Collecting those choices in the upload flow reduces the back-and-forth at the counter.
For ordinary images, ask the customer to discuss the intended size and quantity with you when those choices are not available in the image upload flow. Check the preview before using a full sheet of photo paper.
Review the request before printing
Keep the customer name, file and instructions together under one request number. Review the file type, page count and selected options, then choose the installed printer that suits the job. If anything is unclear, ask before approving the request.
SNP Print gives each shop its own upload link and QR poster. Customers can send supported PDFs, Word files and images without creating an account. Shop owners review requests on a dashboard and select a printer for supported documents in the Windows app.
Close the loop with the customer
An order number and visible status make collection easier, especially when several people are waiting. Treat estimated ready times as estimates and update the customer if a printer or document needs extra attention.
Set a clear file handling routine as well. In SNP Print, server copies are removed after the Windows app saves and verifies the full order and confirms receipt, or after explicit deletion. A shop should also decide how it manages any files saved on its own computer.
